“When I first met Jean Michel LaPointe (my creative partner) in Tarzana, Inspector Jack was one of the first songs produced at the legendary studio. We are both avid fans of classic movies from the 60s through 90s and me, being a huge fan ofInspector Gadget (growing Up watching it as a kid in Farsi).
We thought it would be cool to produce a song that felt like it had the energy and gave a wild cinematic energy in the most organic way possible. Jean Michelle laid down an amazing Bassline and we thought why not add more layers to the Bassline like top notes. And then we were like, why not hire a whole brass quartet with the Bassline?? So we got the amazing Brandyn Phillips Brass Quartet to come in and we recorded them playing the bass line. Having real instruments was a game changer and something I had not done in this caliber, we really went full Lawrence of Arabia on this one. It’s one of my most grand experiences making music”.
